At the end of the game, why do those people kill him? Who were they? I cried so much.

End? It’s not the end until the credits roll!

Also, they were federal agents and US Marshals led by Edgar Ross (the government guy who imprisoned Abigail and Jack earlier in the game), trying to clean up the last loose end (John being the last member of Dutch’s gang).

But still, John’s death doesn’t mean the game is over…

He was killed by the American Government, lead by Agent Ross. I am unsure of their motive. It is most likely because of John Marston’s Past, and that they were just using him to get rid of their enemies.

cuz
